Resources Supporting Preservation, Productivity, and Sustainability

To further its goals of preservation, productivity, and sustainability, the Green Valley Agricultural Conservancy has developed the following resources. These documents are intended to guide agricultural operations, natural resource stewardship, and community design within the Middle Green Valley Specific Plan Area.

Agricultural Business Plan

The GVAC has prepared an Agricultural Business Plan to provide a road map to establishing viable, vital and community based agriculture operations within the Specific Plan Area. This plan also includes guidelines for farmers and ranchers to assist in creating their own Agricultural Business Plans.

Resource Management Plan

The GVAC, in partnership with the landowners within the Specific Plan Area, is also creating a Resource Management Plan (RMP) based on biological research to establish a framework of management standards and performance guidelines for the on-going natural and agricultural resources of the Open Lands.

Together with the Agriculture Business Plan and the Neighborhood Design Code in Chapter 5, the RMP will be used by the Conservancy to ensure the on-going protection, productivity and sustainability of the Open Lands in Middle Green Valley. (Middle Green Valley Specific Plan Section 4.2.1)
